In cooperation with Bonne Bay Cottage Hospital, I’m offering a workshop on Jams and Spreads. We’ll talk about the science to making jam and the purpose of sugar, acid and pectin. We talk about the difference categories of jam vs spread vs compotes. We’ll discuss the key criteria so you’re jam lasts on the shelf or in your pantry as long as you expect (unless someone eats them first!). I’ll also touch on what to look for to know when it is no longer good.
This session is free and in person.
Location: Old Cottage Hospital, Norris Point, NL in the Kitchen.
Donations to BBCHHC are appreciated. Space is limited to 6 participants.
